Stephen Berger was married to Dr. Edith Steinbach and they had two sons named John and Michael. He worked as a civil engineer and was actively involved in the Jewish community holding positions with the Jewish National Fund, the Jewish Welfare Fund, Zionist Organization of Canada and others.
Berger was nominated Man of the Year at a Negev Dinner in 1959 and a Nachla was founded in his name in Israel.

Ralph Rotman was born in 1907, in Rachov, Poland. He was married to Rebecca Rotman and had two children: Dorothy and Robert. Rotman was a builder in Toronto for over forty years. He began building homes in the 1920s and shortly after formed a partnership, Boneh and Rotman, and branched into apartment and office buildings. He primarily built homes in the Dixie Road and Queen Elizabeth Way area, as well as the Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue areas. He was also associated with Strathclair Construction Ltd. and Ralgreen Developments.
Rotman was very involved with Israel Histadrut, serving as treasurer during the 1950s and as campaign chairman during the 1960s. He was also a representative of the Construction Division of the United Appeal of Toronto.
Rotman died on 17 June 1970, at the age of 63.

Accession consists of letters to Bill Rotman from Hy Perkal and Lou Pusitz, a military postcard from Hy Perkal to Bill Rotman, a postcard from Bill Rotman (from the Belmont House, Lake Joseph, Ontario) to Goldie Shulman, and a letter to Goldie from Bill (at the Bel-Pines Lodge in Port Carling, Ontario). The accession consists of twenty-five photographs documenting the family of Len Berger.
Administrative History
Leonard was born in Toronto on March 3, 1923 to Samuel and Rebecca (nee Rottenberg) Berger. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a bomber during the Second World War and married Goldie Fine in 1950. He ran a business out of the their house on Wigan Crescent.
His paternal grandparents were Myer and Bertha (nee Lubnitsky) Berger. They were from Romania and arrived in Canada around 1904. The couple had four children: Samuel, Minnie (m. Lieberman), Ann (m. Bochner) and Esther (m. Bernard).
Samuel married Rebecca Rottenberg at Beth Jacob synagogue on Henry Street on 30 December 1917. Around that time the couple both worked in factories, he as a cutter and she as an operator. They resided at 102 Oxford Street. He later enlisted in the Canadian military on 4 September 1918. The couple had two children: Beatrice and Leonard.
Rebecca Rottenberg's parents were Lazar (Louis) and Bertha (nee Appell) Rottenberg. They came from Russia around 1896 and resided at112 Chestnut Street in 1901. He worked as a cloak operator.They moved to 90 Denison Street around 1910, where he worked out of his house. The family lived there for many years and raised a large family in that home. Their ten children included: Goldie, Lena, Rebecca (Becky), Louis, Harry, Pearl, Molly (Mary), Samuel, Sarah (Shirley) and Rosie.

Scope and Content
Accession consists of records that document Leonard's activities as a bomber in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War as well as his activities in the immediate post-war years. Textual records include letters written by Leonard to his family during the war in which he discusses such things as his fellow servicemen, the contents of parcels received from his family, his responsibilities as second navigator, and his plans for upcoming leave's of absence. Also included is Leonard's Royal Canadian Air Force flying log book (1943-1948).
Scrapbook contains photographs of Leonard's childhood and wartime experience, such as, images of his airforce crew and fellow servicemen on leave. Scrapbook also contains images of Leonard's family and friends from the post-war era, as well as some textual records, including Leonard's wartime identity card, will and map of Germany.

Accession consists of records documenting Samuel Berger and his family. Included is Sam's marriage certificate, wedding invitation, naturalization certificates, and pay book and discharge papers from the First World War. Also included is a copy of the birth certificate for Sam's wife, Rebecca (nee Rotenberg) and a newsclipping of the obituary for Rebecca's father, Lazar Rotenberg.
Custodial History
The records were in the possession of Goldie Berger, the daughter-in-law of Samuel Berger and wife of Leonard Berger.
Administrative History
Samuel Berger enlisted in the Canadian army in Oct. 1918. He was discharged in Dec. 1918. He married Rebecca Rotenberg in 1917.
