Ben Simon (1906-1996) was born in Toronto and worked as a tailor. His family, mother Etta (1874 -1967) and father Ephraim (Frederick) (1876-1938) immigrated from Russia to Canada in 1904. Silblings include, Rae (1904-1987), Leah (1905-1976), Helen (1911-1986), Albert (1913-2003), Irving (1915-1999) and George (1919-1981). Ben married Susan (Givertz) (1915-2000) and together they had one son, Fred Simon.
