Born in Odessa, Vladimir Jabotinsky (1880-1940) was a Zionist leader notable for founding the Revionist movement within Zionism. In 1926, he travelled to Canada under the sponsorship of the Hebrew Veterans Association.
Scope and Content
File consists of a contract between Hector Duthisac of Montreal and the Hebrew Veterans Association, Toronto. Duthisac was the manager for the Canadian tour of Vladimir Jabotinsky. The contract details the financial and logisitcal responsibilities of both parties for a lecture to be delivered on February 11, 1926 by Jabotinsky on his visit to Toronto.

File consists of correspondence concerning the discharge of the Toronto Zionist Council Canada Life Assurance Company Mortgage, contact with other insurance companies, as well as documentation of tax filings for the council. and accounts of a successful mission to the Halifax Jewish community by way of a retreat at Camp Kadimah.
There is a report of the call-up of army reservists during the Six-Day War in Israel, a proposal and report concerning a move of the Zionist Organization of Canada headquarters from Montreal to Toronto, and a reprint of an article from the Jewish Standard titled "Zionism in Canada" by Julius Hayman, and conversations concerning revisions to the Zionist Organization of Canada's constitution.

The coin was a welcome coin for the Shriners 1930 convention in Toronto.
Scope and Content
Item is a copper coin. On one side, there are flags behind a maple leaf with writing around the border. In the centre of the maple there is writing that reads:
PEACE
JUNE 1930.
Around the border the writing reads: 36th IMPERIAL COUNCIL SESSION [?]WN-OVV.
On the other side of the coin, there are two people shaking hands. The writing around the border reads: CONVENTION TORONTO 1930 WELCOME.

Admin History/Bio
Avi Bitew was born in Ethiopia. In the early 1980s, he made a twenty-eight-day journey to Sudan on foot. Bitew eventually made his way to Israel, where he became an employee in the Ministry of Employment.
Scope and Content
Item is an audio recording of Avi Bitew giving a talk about the situation of Ethiopia's Jews. The talk was probably given at a forum on Ethiopian Jews that was held at the Shaarei Shomayim synagogue in Toronto. The forum was sponsored by the Canadian Association for Ethiopian Jews, Amichai (the Educational Fund for Ethiopian Jewry), and Shaarei Shomayim youth. After Bitew's talk, there is audio of a documentary about Ethiopia's Jews.
Bitew is introduced by Debbie Molot-Toker, executive director of CAEJ.
