- Administrative History
- Morris Grossman was married to Lilly Grossman Rubenstein (née Zisappel). Lilly's father, Chiel Appel, (the grandfather of the donor Goldie Cantor), had three sisters who married in the 1920s and then immigrated to South America where they became well established. The offspring of this family dispersed to many different South American countries. Max Federman and Harry Grossman (the brother of Morris) worked as waiters for Morris when they arrived in Toronto. Max Hartstone was Morris and Harry's first cousin.
