- In November 1953, a sub-committee was struck to examine strategies to implement administration, fund-raising and construction of a new Jewish community school. The sub-committee was composed of executives from both the Welfare Fund and the Bureau of Jewish Education (BJE} and was chaired by Professor Jacob Finkleman.
