- The United Jewish Relief Agencies was a Canadian Jewish Congress body that offered funding to various community organizations assisting new immigrants in the areas of housing, financial assistance, vocational training and recreation. The YM-YWHA was a recipient of funding from the UJRA because it offered English classes to new immigrants and provided recreation opportunities for immigrant children at its camps.
