- Scope and Content
- File consists of photographs and medium format slides documenting the unveiling ceremony of Henry Moore's sculpture, "The Archer", at Nathan Phillips Square on October 27th, 1966. Included are images of Mayor Philip Givens delivering a speech and standing in front of the sculpture, crowds gathered to watch the unveiling and viewing the sculpture afterwards, and Canadian pair figure skaters Otto and Maria Jelinek performing for crowds at the ceremony. Individuals identified in the photographs include: Mayor Philip Givens, Dennis Flynn, Eric Arthur and Lieutenant Governor John Keiller MacKay.
