- This file consists of a scrapbook with newspaper clippings and letters in English and Yiddish of a personal interest to Katz. The newspaper clippings have been taken from various Yiddish newspapers. Included are: articles written by Katz; announcements/articles/letters from various organizations (e.g. Canadian Federation of Polish Jews, Folks Farein, Old Folks Home, Yeshivath Maharal Graubart, Ezrath Torah, Canadian Jewish Congress, Dominion Council, National Fund, Ontario Zionist Region, Yeshivath Chachmei Lublin, Jewish National Fund of Ontario, Zionist Organization of Canada, United Jewish Welfare Fund of Toronto, Jewish Immigration Aid Society of Canada, Beth Jacob Synagogue, Mizrachi, New Mount Sinai Hospital); articles concerning dignitaries (e.g. Dr. C. Shoshkes, Rabbi Samuel Brodt, Dr. Isaac Levine, Prof. A. Levy, Dr. A Granovsky, Eliezer Kaplan); announcement of Memorial Service for Warsaw ghetto martyrs; announcements of meetings (e.g. Canadian Federation of Polish Jews, Kehilla of Toronto,); condolence notices; congratulatory notices; 60th birthday wishes for Katz; Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur greeting announcement from Reliable Tobacco; a list of the Toronto Delegates to the 28th Zionist Convention; letters sent by Polish Jews to Federation of Polish Jews; hand-written story in Hebrew and letter from Katz's grandchild; greetings concerning Katz's trip to Israel. Also included are newspaper articles, a copy of a publication from the Canadian Federation of Polish Jews, a copy of the 1948 Financial Report of the Community Chest of Greater Toronto, a delegates card for the 1946 Regional Conference of the Zionist Organization of Canada and three copies of a programme for a Mass Meeting of the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society of Canada.
