15 architectural drawings : 1 blueprint, pencil and 10 hand col. watercolour, pastel and pencil crayon, some on cardboard, some on verso of blueprints ; 55 x 70 cm or smaller
Scope and Content
Series consists of several high quality colour sketches of a variety of buildings. These have been grouped together to display Brown’s artistic ability and were originally used for both public display or as commissions. Drawings are sketches of both commercial and residential buildings. Among the sketches are building interiors and exteriors, an entrance, a theatre stage and a bedroom. Brown's sketch of a public library when he attended the University of Toronto is also included. Two drawings have been described at the item level, one is the library Brown drew when he was a student and the other is a house interior of exceptional quality.
Notes
Both drawings with item level descriptions are encased in Melinex.
Physical Condition
The two drawings in roll 1 are in need of conservation. Both have significant tears.
6/16/2015: The two rolled drawings were sent out for conservation treatments.

On July 11, 1933 over 15,000 people (mostly Jewish and working class) walked off the job to protest Nazism, fascism, and other human rights issues. Reported in the Globe and Mail as the largest protest of its kind in Canada since the 1919 Winnipeg general strike, a united front of all the needle trade unions and over fifty Jewish organizations took part.

Item is a photograph of two men holding a banner with a slogan which reads "To Victory! Under the Banner of Lenin and Trotsky" at an International Left Opposition demonstration in Toronto. This photo was likely taken during the large anti-fascist demonstration that took place in Toronto on July 11, 1933.

Scope and Content
Accession consists of one DVD recording of the Rally for Truth, Light and Freedom. The DVD covers the entire presentation, including speakers Linda Frum Sokolowski, Father Raymond De Souza, Peter Van Loan, Michael Bryant, Martin Maxwell, Max Eisen, and William McBurney; keynote speaker Professer Alan Dershowitz; and archival footage of a concentration camp liberation that was screened at the rally.
Administrative History
The Rally for Truth, Light and Freedom: Iran Exposed was held at Beth Tzedec Congregation on Thursday December 21, 2006 to express opposition to Iran's Holocaust denial conference. It was sponsored by a coalition of more than 120 Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, including the Archdiocese of Toronto's Office of Ecumenical and Interfaith Affairs, the National Congress of Italian-Canadians, the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews, and the Hindu Conference of Canada. Organizational support was provided by UJA Federation of Greater Toronto; Canadian Jewish Congress, Ontario Region; and the Holocaust Centre of Toronto. Mark Anshan of UJA coordinated the event.

On July 11, 1933 over 15,000 people (mostly Jewish and working class) walked off the job to protest Nazism, fascism, and other human rights issues. Reported in the Globe and Mail as the largest protest of its kind in Canada since the 1919 Winnipeg general strike, a united front of all the needle trade unions and over fifty Jewish organizations took part.
