File consists of textual and graphic material documenting the operation of Baycrest's Gift Shop. Included are meeting notices and minutes, correspondence, a list of Gift Shop personnel, and event notices. Also included are photographs of the Gift Shop and a staff luncheon. Identified in the photographs is: Leonard Dezenhouse.
Toronto Section's executive historically incorporated five or six vice-presidents, each in charge of a portfolio made up of a group of related committees. The thrift shop was a significant generator of revenue until the shop discontinued in 1971.
Scope and Content
Sub-series consists of one file of newsclippings, meeting minutes and correspondence from the thrift shop's final few years.
File consists of suggested grocery shopping lists for families on relief diets, one report of the Ontario Medical Association on Relief Diets, reports from JSSA on how to buy food economically, weekly food budgets, and recipes that were demonstrated at homemaking club meetings.
