Minnie came to Kirkland Lake in the 1920s with her father, Elia Dubinsky, a musician, who was hired in Montreal to conduct the orchestra in the Strand Theatre. He and his wife opened Kirkland Lake's first delicatessen called the Tel Aviv.

This item is a photograph of Anne Dubinsky (Dubin) and Irving Goldstein. Pictured to the left of Anne is her sister, Minnie Dubinsky (Dubin). Pictured to the right of Irving is his brother Harry.

Elioham Louis Bochner, son of Moses Bochner and Rachel Eisen, was born circa 1884. He married Fannie Kurtz in York (Toronto) on 21 September 1908. Fannie, born in Austria circa 1889, was the daughter of Benjamin Kurtz and Rebecca Engel. The Kurtz family emigrated from Austria in 1891.
