- The treasurer was responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the YM-YWHA. The treasurer was chairman of the Finance Committee which recommended, discussed and approved the day-to-day financial requirements for the operation of the "Y". The committee was also responsible for submitting the financial information to the accounting houses who prepared the "Y's" audited financial reports.

- This sub-series contains the financial reports and statements for the YM-YWHA., the Jewish Community Centre of Toronto, the Combined Building Campaign, the Northern Building Fund Campaign, the Jewish Camp Council, Camp Northland, Camp B’nai Brith, the Mothers' and Babes' Rest Home and Camp Fundale.
- The reports are organized chronologically by year. Each year often contains more than one report, either for different periods of the same year, or for different structures under the control of the YM-YWHA. The reports were kept by the office of the executive director.

- Page & Steele Architects were responsible for the design and construction of the Spadina and Bloor and Spadina YM-YWHA along with associate architects, Kaplan & Sprachman. The Bloor "Y" was completed in 1952.
- The northern building was designed and constructed by W. Sefton & Associates Ltd. Consulting Engineers and Gordon S. Adamson & Associates Architects. The northern building was completed in 1961.

- This sub-series contains records relating to the design and construction of the YM-YWHA at Bloor and Spadina and the YM-YWHA on Bathurst Street in North York. The records include bound specifications detailing the labour, material and building methods for each of the buildings, as well as some architectural drawings of the northern building.

- The Board of Directors consisted of fifty-one elected members and two representatives each of the Adult and Young Adult Councils. They were elected annually at the YM-YWHA's annual meetings by the general membership and Board of Governors.
- The Board of Directors were in charge of internally electing their officers, which included the chairman of the board, president, first vice-president, second vice-president, third vice-president, secretary and treasurer. They also elected the Executive Committee, which consistsed of the abovementioned officers and fifteen directors, including all of the appointed standing committee chairmen.
- The board had control of management over the activities of the "Y" and was responsible for approving the decisions made by the Executive Committee.

- The Combined Youth Appeal was a fundraising arm of the United Jewish Appeal campaign that encompassed the many youth groups in the city. A staff person at the YM-YWHA was appointed to coordinate the fundraising and educational efforts of the campaign, in consultation with UJA staff. Each organization conducted its own campaign and programs to meet its desired targets. The groups were divided into divisions, which elected representatives to the Combined Youth Appeal cabinet. The cabinet acted as a liaison between the Combined Youth Appeal and the United Jewish Appeal.

Their original mandate was to oversee the operation of the men's health club. In 1953, a separate women's health club was created alongside the men's and a Women's Health Services Committee was struck to oversee its operations. - The Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of Toronto was formed in 1917 to coordinate the fundraising activities of Jewish charitable, philanthropic, and social service agencies in Toronto. In 1938-1939, the federation was absorbed into the newly formed United Jewish Welfare Fund, which financed a wide variety of organizations using money raised during the annual United Jewish Appeal campaigns.
