This sub-series contains the operating files created and accumulated by the office of the executive director of the YM-YWHA during the years 1937-1978. This file contains a newclipping scrapbook and two photographs documenting Bob Hope's visit to Toronto as guest of honour at the founders dinner, launching the northern building fund campaign for the YM-YWHA. The photographs feature Bob Hope being kissed by twins in cowgirl costumes, alongside Alex Fisher and Sam Granatastein and Bob Hope receiving an honourary founders award from Alex Fisher and Sam Granatstein, while John Fienberg and Bob Hope's wife Dolores look on.

Camp Playtyme was a day camp for children aged six and seven. It was run by the Jewish Camp Council and operated out of the YM-YWHA at Spadina Avenue and Bloor Street.
Scope and Content
This file contains program material, counselor training material, membership reports, financial records, a parent's guide and photographs from 1953-4 of the children partaking in the various camp activities.

The projects and programs include heritage and French language programs, and professional development projects for teachers. The sub-series includes records relating to BJE and CJC efforts to lobby the provincial government to extend funding of schools to include private schools. The sub-series includes a photograph of Rabbi Witty and Bernard Shoub accepting a Government of Canada cheque for a BJE project.
