- Sub-series consists of the general office records of the Community Relations Committee. these are mostly general correspondence with officers of the Committee, especially the Executive Director. They also include some general correspondence with other organizations as well as some administrative records regarding staffing and organizational structure changes.

- Arrangement
- Because records in this sub-series had previously been organized in a manner that proved impossible for use by archivists and researchers, they have been totally rearranged and described to comply with RAD standards, to provide ease of access by researchers, and to fully reflect the activities and organizational history of the Community Relations Committee of the Canadian Jewish Congress during and after the period when it was a joint committee with the B'Nai Brith.

- Jack Cowan was a founder of the Canadian Jewish Outlook and former president of the United Jewish Peoples' Order.
- Sol Kanee (1909–2007) was a Canadian lawyer who served as president of the Canadian Jewish Congress from 1971 to 1974.
- Scope and Content
- Item is a copy of a letter sent to Sol Kanee, national president of the Canadian Jewish Congress, from Jack Cowan, national president of the United Jewish Peoples' Order (UJPO). The letter consists of Cowan's observations on the 16th National Plenary Assembly of the Canadian Jewish Congress, which took place in Montreal in November 1971.
