- Beatrice Collis (nee Florence) was married to Allan B. Collis, who owned a department store in Peterborough, Ontario called Allan B. Collis Limited. It was located on the west side of George Street, just north of Simcoe Street, and sold ladies' wear, mens' wear, and children's wear. Beatrice was active in the Peterborough Chapter of Hadassah. They had three children and later moved to Toronto.

- This accession consists of four 16 mm films and one copy DVD, documenting the Moldaver family in Peterborough. The films were taken during the 1950s and 1960s and include images of a Camp Wahanowin family visit featuring people by the lake, boating, playing badminton and softball and waterskiing, as well as other cottage scenes of kids swimming and jumping off the dock, canoeing, and several families sitting by the lake.
- The films also document several family and community events, such as a family vacation to Chicago, fancy parties, Hanukkah and Purim celebrations, family dinners, and bar mitzvahs, including the bar mitzvah of the donor Joel Moldaver. There are also several scenes of family life in Peterborough including people skating outdoors, and group shots of people standing outside of their homes and getting into cars.
- In addition, the accession contains electronic scans of eight family photographs, including the donor's grandparents and great-parents, his parents' wedding which was the first Jewish wedding in Peterborough, and three images of his own bar mitzvah. There is also one oversize photograph of the 1942 Plenary session of the Canadian Jewish Congress, where the formation of Israel was addressed (photo credit: Federal Photos, Montreal).

- Accession consists of two photocopied letters exchanged between Rose Brewda and Campbellford District High School in 1984 after her visit with students to speak as a survivor of the Holocaust. Two photocopied newspaper clippings relate to this visit. The scanned photographs include aerial photographs of three of the Brewda's four livestock farms; three were in Peterborough and one in Lindsay. There are two older family portraits with Rose's Zaidie taken in Rumania before the Second World War, one of the Brewda family in the 1950s, and one of Rose dancing with her son Irvin at his bar mitzvah, the first one held in Peterborough's new shul in 1965. - Biography
- Ben Collis, the son of Russian immigrants, was born in 1911. He grew up in Oshawa, Ontario. In 1944, he moved to Peterborough, Ontario. Ben's interest in music led him to form his own dance band and play gigs throughout Ontario.

- Biography
- Laura Bowman (née Petersiel) grew up in Peterborough when antisemitism was latent in the community. She experienced it personally when she went to work as a young teacher in the early 1950s for the Catholic School Board in Campbellford. Laura married Sydney Bowman and they had three children, Carol, David and Gayle, and six grandchildren. She passed away in February 2010.

- Mr. J. Pearlman was the owner of a drygoods store and residence at 261 Danforth Avenue in the 1910s. In the 1920s, Mr. Pearlman moved his residence and business to 525 Danforth Avenue.
- Scope and Content
- File contains architectural plans for alterations and additions to a three storey building for Mr. J. Pearlman at 261 Danforth Avenue. The first floor contained stores and a billiards room, and the second and third floors contained accommodations for a five bedroom dwelling. Floor plans, sections, elevation views, and a block plan are included. This project was one of Benjamin Brown's earlier commissions.

The Apter Synagogue was formed by a group of people who came to Toronto from the area of Opatow (Apt) in Poland around the turn of the century. They first established a small synagogue on Centre Avenue near Dundas Street in the Ward. In 1918, in anticipation of more Apter immigrants coming to Toronto after the First World War, the synagogue was sold and a larger one purchased on Beverley Street. Both the synagogue members and the Apter Friendly Society met there.

- Scope and Content
- Accession consists of photographs of the Rogow family and business in Peterborough, Ontario. Included are images of Ralph, Sam, Mary, Itzhak Rogow, and Herbert and Stephen Shacher. There is also one image of the window display in the Rogow's ladies' wear store at the corner of Brock and George Streets.
- Custodial History
- These photographs were originally loaned to the OJA to scan and return as part of the Ontario's Small Jewish Communities exhbit. However, the copies were never accessioned at that time and thus the donor was asked to donate the copies in August, 2011.
- Administrative History
- Benjamin and Mary Rogow and had four sons–Alex, Joseph, Sam, and Ralph–as well as four daughters–Mrs. M. Levine, Mrs. Sam Davis, Mrs. Phil Moscoe, and Rose Rogow. In 1918, Benjamin Rogow established a ladies ready-to-wear store on the southeast corner of Brock and George Streets. For twenty-five years the family of four sons and four daughters lived in rooms above the store until they moved to 623 Walkerfield Avenue. Carried on by son Joseph Rogow, it was possibly one of Peterborough’s longest-running ladies’ wear store. In the early days, coats and suits were made on the premises but by the 1950s the store’s offering of suits and coats and dresses has expanded to skirts and slacks.
- On 25 April 1942, Sgt-Instructor Sam Rogow died in a plane accident near Trois Rivieres, Quebec, three months after earning his wings as a training instructor.
