Rabbi Schochet was the former principal of the Talmud Torah Beth Joseph and Yeshivath Lubavitch. He is currently a Rabbi within the Lubavitcher community in Toronto. He is also the president of Vaad Harabonim (Council of Orthodox Rabbis) in Toronto.

Title note: 9/11/13 -- Al Speisman of the Ostrovtzer Independent Mutual Benefit Society said that this is not Ostrovtzer Society. It may in fact be the members of the Ostrovtzer Synagogue, which was a separate institution from the Society. Further verification is required.
