- Max Shecter was born on July 7, 1923 to Joseph and Helen Shecter. He was married to Florence Fox and they had three children named: Trudy, Debbie and Barry. Max Shecter was the Secretary -Treasurer for Toronto Bedding Company Limited. He was an active member of the Toronto Jewish Community and was affiliated with the following organizations: Beth Sholom Congregation, United Synagogues of America, B'nai Brith, Israel Bond Organization, Joint Community Relations Committee, Canadian Jewish Congress, Zionist Organization of Canada and United Jewish Appeal's Furniture division.. Max Shecter was honoured with a Beth Sholom Israel Bond Dinner for dedicated leadership and by Upper Canada Lodge, B'nai Brith in 1959.
Erwin Schild was born March 9th 1920 in Germany, the Son of Herman and Hetti. He arrived in Canada from Great Britain on July 15, 1940 aboard the S.S. Sobiesky and was interned with nearly 3,000 other wartime refugees. He was eventually ordained by Yeshivah Torath Chaim, Toronto, and served as Rabbi of the Adath Israel Congregation from 1947 to 1989. He married Laura Saxe and together they have three children: Herman, Hedy, and Naomi. He has written about his experiences in "World Through My Window" and "The very narrow bridge: a memoir of an uncertain passage." In 2001 he was made a Member of the Order of Canada.

Included are a community tribute booklet, communal certificate, tribute dinner programme, and 31 photographs of the ceremony. - Series consists of records related to Phil Givens’ work as an MP for the federal riding of York West in Toronto and a small amount related to Givens’ earlier failed election attempt in the Spadina riding. The records include campaign material, correspondence, photographs, a video cassette featuring Givens' at the Houses of Parliament and an oversized composite print of the members of the House of Commons for 1968. Of note are images of Givens participating in a parliamentary delegation to the United Nations, attending the Sir Casimir Gzowski Monument dedication, and visiting NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center. Also included is a small number of photographs of Givens at events hosted or attended by national political figures, such as former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Givens' attendance at such events occurred outside of his time in national office, but are associated with his role as a federal MP.
