- This accession consists of ten issues of the Leonard Athletic Club's newsletter entitled "The Athlete". The issues date from March 1926 to December 1927.
- Administrative History
- The Leonard Athletic Club was organized in March 1924, with the purpose of developing Jewish athletes and having a bigger Jewish representation on the sports field. The name was in honour of Benny Leonard, at the time, the undefeated Lightweight Champion of the World. The Club was similar to other Jewish athletic clubs and city playgrounds of the time, and they often competed against them in various sports and activities. The Athlete was edited by Hye Bossin.

- Invitation document originally sent to and property of group member David Greenspan, deceased husband of OJA donor Lisa Newman Greenspan.
- Administrative History
- The Yiddish Vinkl was an informal Toronto Yiddish-speaking dinner-club formed in 1980. Among the group’s original founders were well-know Toronto Jewish community leaders Ben Kayfetz and Bill Stern. Its first dinner meeting was held at Simpson’s Arcadian Court restaurant on 4 June 1980. Later venues included the Essex Park Hotel, the Lipa Green Building, Old Ed’s restaurant, and Toronto City Hall. The group, which currently had about sixty members as of 2008, now meets monthly at the Free Time Café. Between ten and twenty-five members attend each meeting.

- Biography
- Rheta Rosen (née Rosen) was the daughter of Nathan Rivelis, the owner of Rivelis, a large clothing store in North Bay from 1926 until 1986. The business grew from a small, family-run store into a large department store employing between twenty-five and thirty people. The store was famous for their annual sale held yearly on 16 November. Rheta became a full-time professor in family studies at Ryerson University. She was coordinator of the Learning and Teaching Office and coordinator of the Interpersonal Skills Teaching Centre, Simulation Program. Rheta's area of interest and research lay in the area of intergenerational relationships in the older family. She was a family mediator focusing on issues in the older family, adult children, and their ageing parents. Rheta Rosen died on 22 August 2016.

- Biography
- Dorothy Moses was born and educated in Toronto. She moved to Sudbury, Ontario, in 1946 after marrying bookstore proprietor Wolfe Moses, who predeceased her in 1973. In Sudbury, she became an active member of the Shaarei Hashomayim synagogue and a longtime Haddasah volunteer. Dorothy and Wolfe were highly respected within the community. They had a son, Arthur, and a daughter, Miriam.
- In 1983, she returned to live in Toronto, where she continued her volunteer activities. She died in March 2014 at the age of ninety-six.

- Originally named the Cosmopolitan Club, the Primrose Club was as an elite Jewish men's club (women were allowed to join in later years) that was founded in 1909 by prominent members of the Jewish Community. The building housing the club was located at 41 Willcocks Street, and was originally built in the 1880s as the residence of the Campbell family. In 1921, the home was redesigned by Benjamin Brown and Robert McConnell as the new home of the Primrose Club. In 1959, it was appropriated by the University of Toronto and is currently the home of the University of Toronto Faculty Club. It was designated as a heritage building in 1980.

- Accession consists of a Club Orion yearbook which documents the history of the club, predominately through photographs.
- Administrative History
- Club Orion was formed by a group of grade 8 boys in the autumn of 1949 in order to preserve their friendship. They first met under the auspices of the YMHA but later had their own club room over a delicatessen at the corner of College and Brunswick. The club was social in nature, but they also bought jackets and uniforms, participated in sports activities, and planned events such as dances. The members have continued to periodically reunite over the years.

- Alby Sokol grew up on Markham Street in Toronto. He was part of Club Orion that formed in 1949 and was originally part of the YMHA. The boys stayed connected through the years and still meet regularly. Alby Sokol was a well known sportswriter, at first for the Telegram and then later for the Toronto Star (1970-2000).

The first photo features a large group of men and women seated at tables at a convention hall in Atlantic City, N.J. Beneath the Union Emblem a banner reads "1900 Golden Jubilee 1950", May 23-June 1. Numerous union banners are displayed in addition to local unions signs. On stage is a speaker behind whom is seated several rows of men and several women. Written in lower left corner is "R1 Central Studios, Atlantic City, N.J."

- Mizrachi is an international religious Zionist movement founded in Vilnius in 1902. Bnei Akiva, founded in 1929 is its youth movement. Mizrachi Canada is its Canadian branch.
Allan Soberman is a singer/songwriter/musician and son of Cantor Morris Soberman.
Cantor Morris Soberman was the Ba'al Koreh, Chazan Sheni and bar mitzvah teacher at Beth Tzedec Synagogue in Toronto with additional years spent at Goel Tzedec and the McCaul Street Shul.
