- Admin History/Bio
- Joseph Tanenbaum was born on 25 September 1906 in Poland to parents Chippa Sarah and Abraham. The family moved to Canada. Joe became a bridge builder and industrialist, eventually taking over the family business, Runnymede Steel Construction. Two of the company's major accomplishments were the Burlington Skywayand and the Hamer Bridge in St. Catharines. He was a founder of the YW-YMHA, director of Israeli Bonds, an active member of UJA, B'nai Brith, New Mount Sinai, Jewish Home for the Aged and Baycrest Hospital, Canadian Friends of Yeshiva University, Ner Israel Rabbinical College and Talmud Torah.
