- The item is a postcard portrait of Lazar "Louis" Rottenberg and his grandsons, Herbie in front and Lou Cohen on the right. It was taken in a Toronto studio and the boys were dressed up in U.S. naval outfits, with Lou perched on a toy horse.
- These were the children of Esther Rottenberg Cohen. Their birth dates are uncertain but the couple were married in 1910 and likely had them soon after their nuptuals.
