File contains drafts and notes in connection with Ben Dunkelman's autobiography Dual Allegiance. The file includes photocopies of selections from The Victory Campaign: The Operations in North-West Europe, Volume III, Official History of the Canadian Army in the Second World War (The Queen’s Printer and Controller of Stationery, Ottawa, 1960) by C.P. Stacey.
Accession consists of two photographs of sketches detailing former Holy Blossom Temple locations. The first is a sketch by an unknown artist of Coombe's Drugstore and the second is a sketch by artist Aba Bayefsky of the Richmond St. building.
File consists of a clipping, notes and correspondence in connection with Dunkelman's research for his memoirs. The file contains a clipping and notes related to Israeli Chiefs of Staff Yaakov Dori, Yigael Yadin, Mordechai Makleff, Moshe Dayan and Chaim Laskov. The correspondence includes letters to and from Yaakov Dori. Dunkelman asks Dori to write an introduction to his memoirs.
This accession consists of slides documenting Doris Fleishman's musical show at Bayview Villa in August of 1978. The images depict residents of the Villa dancing, playing musical instruments and watching the review.
This accession consists of ten electronic copies of photographs documenting the Laskin family and the Jewish community of Thunder Bay. The photographs depict a 1937 royal coronation parade float created by the Jewish community, as well as a portrait of Saul Laskin and members of the Laskin family and some photos of Saul during his political election campaign and during a store giveaway. Also included is the sod turning ceremony of the new synagogue and the street naming of Saul Laskin Drive in Thunder Bay. Also identified in the photographs are: Murray Stitt, Rabbi Sternberg, and Mayor Norman Wilson.
The original records are in the possession of the donor. They were loaned to the OJA for the small Jewish communities project for copying.
