David Greenberg was an electrical engineer. He later became a chiropracter in Toronto. His father, Louis Greenberg, was a tailor whose shop was located in the Jarvis and Parliament area on Queen Street East. The family originally belonged to the Berkeley Street Synagogue, but there was no minyan for David's bar mitzvah and they moved to the McCaul Street Synagogue.

Admin History/Bio
David Dunkelman (1883-1978) was born in Poland to Elias and Leah Dunkelman. He came to Canada with his parents in 1895, settling in Toronto. On 19 January 1910, he married Rose Miller (1889-1949), and together they had 6 children: Joseph, Ernest, Benjamin, Theodora, Veronica (Ourisman), and Zelda (Wilner). David Dunkelman was very active throughout his life in Zionist causes and in philanthropic and communal work. He was the founder, president and chairman of the board of Tip Top Tailors Ltd. (1911) which was one of the largest clothing manufacturers in Canada.
For over 50 years David was one of the leaders of the Zionist Organization of Canada. He was also director of the Jewish Home for the Aged and Baycrest Hospital, one of the founders of the North Toronto YMHA, a founder and supporter of the Associated Hebrew Schools of Toronto, and one of the founders of a village in Israel known as Gan Chaim. He was a member of several clubs and lodges including B'nai Brith, the Empire Club, the Primrose Club and the Canadain Friends of Hebrew University.
David married Pearl Greisman Rotenberg in 1950, after the death of his wife Rose Dunkelman in 1949.

Leah Gittel, Rohama Lee, and David Isar were the first, second and third children born to Ida and Isidore Siegel.
Leah Gittel moved to the United States to study nursing. She met and married Rabbi Jerome Labovitz in Philadelphia.
Rohama graduated from the University of Toronto and became a writer. She was a journalist in Canada during the late 1930s and early 1940s. She then moved to the United States in the 1940s and lived in New York City. She co-wrote the 1943 film "Tonight We Raid Calais" and the 1938 film "We're Going to Be Rich" and several short film scripts for the Office of War Information during the Second World War. Later, she edited Film News, a leading film industry magazine.
David served in the Second World War as a Flight Lieutenant in the RCAF. He graduated from McMaster University and the Ontario College of Education and became a public school teacher. He later moved to the United States and became executive director of several synagogues and Jewish centres in New York and New Jersey. David married Ada Steinberg.

Item is a studio portrait of the Steinberg siblings. Identified from left, Shulamit, Ada and Leo Steinberg. Judging by the clothing, the photograph was likely taken around 1940.

David Greenberg was an electrical engineer, who married at the age of nineteen. He later became a chiropracter in Toronto. His father, Louis Greenberg, was a tailor whose shop was located in the Jarvis and Parliament area on Queen Street East. The family originally belonged to the Berkeley Street Synagogue, but there was no minyan for David's bar mitzvah and they moved to the McCaul Street Synagogue. David's stepmother's name was Sadie.

Item is a portrait of David Greenberg, his father Louis Greenberg and his stepmother Sadie. The picture was taken for David's bar mitzvah on October 13, 1935.
