Sub-series consists of studies and surveys produced by or for the Social Planning Committee in order to determine the needs of various portions of Toronto's Jewish Community and also to plan for the delivery of services to fulfill those needs.
File consists of studies and papers either about Baycrest Centre or regarding services for the aged in Toronto and Canada. Of note are papers presented by W. Lyons at various conferences, a United Jewish Welfare Fund report by Dr. Albert Rose on the Social Needs of the Aged in Toronto, and a report outlining the care given to the aged at Baycrest Centre.
series consists of textual records documenting special projects and studies of the JFWB. Included is correspondence, memos, reports, statistics, case summaries, newsletters, meeting notices and minutes, newsclippings, legislation, and a questionnaire. Topics of the projects and studies include: birth control, housing conditions, nutrition clinics, family budgets and food relief costs, vocational guidance and juvenile delinquency. Many of the projects and studies were conducted in partnership with other agencies.

File consists of program guides for special events such as the Kallah lecture series featuring Elie Wiesel and Alan Dershowitz, the Gesher Project, Annual Koffler Patron Gala and the Gala Mother's Day concert featuring violinist Shlomo Mintz.
The Special Recruitment Committee had a mandate to recruit Walk participants from organizations, agencies and synagogues.
Scope and Content
File contains minutes of a meeting of the Special Recruitment Group in January 1991, early in the planning stages of the Walk, as well as a form letter to potential community liaisons and a sample walker sign-up sheet.
Sub-sub series consists of minutes and associated documents of five sub-committees struck to consider special one-time issues. Subjects examined by these sub-committees were: revisions to the criminal code, grants to Jewish day schools, neo-nazism, Bill S-21, and Ontario Sabbath laws.
Series consists of records documenting the special projects and events of the Sharon Chapter. Included is correspondence, a photograph, certificates, invitations, programmes, financial statements, lists, speeches, an auditorium lease, a sales report, pledge cards, and a theatrical script.
File consists of financial statements for various funds and special collections, including; the World's Child Day collection (1966), Mogen Dovid Adam collection (ca. 1970), the Flower Fund, and the Jewish National Fund.
The file consists of notices and invitations to events sponsored by the book club and the Education and Programme Department. Programmes include: independent study lessons in modern Hebrew co-sponsored by Karen Hatarbut, and the events surrounding Jewish Book Month 1967.
File consists of textual records documenting the social activities and programs of the General Wingate Branch. Included are dinner and dance invitations, raffle tickets from social events, and a fundraising brochure for the Cenotaph at the Jewish War Veterans Memorial Park in the Mount Sinai Cemetary.
File consists of studies and reports documenting the Women's Auxiliary's volunteer program. Included are reports regarding prospective and active volunteers, and the dissolution of the Blue Smock volunteer service. Of note is a report by volunteer Mrs. Frankel describing how and why she became a volunteer, and a study on the "Present Use of Volunteers and the Potential Opportunities for Volunteer Service at the Jewish Home for the Aged and Baycrest Hospital" (1955).
File consists of studies and reports on Jewish education in Toronto and North America. Included is: a "Study of the Eitz Chaim Day School and of the United Synagogue Day School, Toronto, Ontario, Canada" (August 1972); a "Feasibility Report concerning the Integration of Jewish Schools" in North York (Dec. 1974); and, a National Conference of Jewish Communal Service report on the "Structure, Function, and Priorities of the Organized Jewish Community" (June 1974).
The file consists of a report of the survey of Canadian Young Judaea 1964-1965. This report was prepared by Dr. Samuel Grand and submitted to the Zionist Organization of Canada Survey Committee. The file also contains correspondence between Dr. Samuel Grand and Sol Granek regarding the terms of reference and procedures used for the survey.
File consists of textual records documenting JCWA's survey foster parents' income and expenses. Included is a report detailing the overall average monthly finances for one family and the full survey with exact figures for each family.
