Accession consists of photographs, program material and reports, and event invitations related to the philanthropic activities of the UJA Women's Campaign and Advocacy and its precursers, the Jewish Women's Federation and the UJA Women's Campaign. Also included is United Jewish Appeal campaign material and some material related to the Toronto Jewish Congress.
Custodial History
The materials had been stored in a filing cabinet in the current office of Elana Paice Lidsky.
Administrative History
UJA Federation Women's Campaign and Advocacy is the current women's division of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. It grew out of the merger between the former Jewish Women's Federation, a United Jewish Appeal advocacy group, and the UJA Women's Campaign, the fundraising arm of the JWF. Although governed by seperate executives and mandates, the two groups worked together to raise money and provide services through affiliated Jewish community agencies and organizations. Together, they functioned as the Toronto Jewish Congress' Women's Division and the subsequent UJA Federation Women's Division until their official merger around 2000.

Scope and Content
Accession consists of three photographs of past presidents and chairs of the UJA Federation's Women's Campaign and Advocacy and its precursors, the Jewish Women's Federation. The photographs include Judy Scheininger (WC&A chair, 1988) and Joan Stevens (WC&A chair, 1989); Judy Gwartz (JWF past president); and Sheila Engel (JWF past president) and Etty Danzig (JWF past president).
Custodial History
The records were in the office of Frances Goldstein, Associate Director for Top Gifts at UJA's Centre for Philanthropy, before being transferred to the OJA.

Accession consists of programmes and invitations for Campaign events including Major Gifts, telethons, missions, the Ben Gurion Society, Women's Philanthropy and other divisions' events. Accession consists of marketing materials from the UJA Federation's Jewish Tomorrow Campaign. The records include promotional booklets for the Tomorrow Campaign, the Sherman Campus, the Lipa Green Centre, the Joseph & Wolf Lebovic Jewish Community Campus, and TanenbaumCHAT. It also includes invitations and booklets for the Lebovic JCC groundbreaking on November 15, 2009 and the opening celebration of the Prosserman JCC and the expansion of the Lipa Green Centre on September 16, 2009.
Administrative History
UJA Federation's Tomorrow Campaign is Canada’s largest non-profit community development project. It is Federation's response to the need for new facilities and services brought about by the growth of Toronto’s Jewish community.
The Tomorrow Campaign is mandated with the fundraising and creation of three campuses for Jewish life in the GTA. The Downtown District, serving Toronto's growing Jewish population in the city core, is anchored by the new Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre at Bloor & Spadina and the Wolfond Centre for Jewish Campus Life at Harbord & Huron. Central Campus, on Bathurst north of Sheppard, will include the new Prosserman Family Jewish Community Centre, where the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre is currently located, a new Koffler Centre for the Arts, the Centre for Jewish Knowledge & Heritage and a renovated Lipa Green Building for Jewish Community Services. The Lebovic Jewish Community Campus, at Bathurst & Weldrick north of Rutherford, is designed to provide programs and services for York Region's Jewish community of 60,000 - the fastest growing in Canada. Scope and Content
This accession consists of three CDs containing 1. The original plans created by Jerome Markson for the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre along with relevant photographs and documents. These records were created between 1976 and 1984 and were digitized in 2007. 2. The mechanical as-builts for the Lipa Green Centre's Family Pavillion, created in 2008. 3. The drawings and specs issued for construction of the Lipa Green Centre's Family Pavillion created in May 2008.
Custodial History
The discs were in the possession of Stephanie Olin Chapman, Facilities Developer for the UJA Federation's Tomorrow Campaign.They were loaned to the Archives for copying and returned on Oct. 28, 2010.
Administrative History
UJA Federation's Tomorrow Campaign is Canada’s largest non-profit community development project. It is Federation's response to the need for new facilities and services brought about by the growth of Toronto’s Jewish community. The Tomorrow Campaign is mandated with the fundraising and creation of three campuses for Jewish life in the GTA. The Downtown District, serving Toronto's growing Jewish population in the city core, is anchored by the new Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre at Bloor & Spadina and the Wolfond Centre for Jewish Campus Life at Harbord & Huron. The new Sherman Campus, on Bathurst north of Sheppard, will include the new Prosserman Family Jewish Community Centre, where the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre is currently located, a new Koffler Centre for the Arts, a new National Centre for Jewish Heritage including the Canadian Jewish Musuem, the Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre and a renovated Lipa Green Building for Jewish Community Services. The Lebovic Jewish Community Campus, at Bathurst & Weldrick north of Rutherford, is designed to provide programs and services for York Region's Jewish community of 60,000 - the fastest growing in Canada. Scope and Content
Accession consists of textual and graphic material documenting the Ostrovtzer Independent Mutual Benefit Society, the Ostrovster Young Men's Branch and the UJA Campaign. Ostrovtzer Society records include event invitations, general correspondence sent to members, newspaper clippings, a free loan booklet, a certificate, two issues of the OYMB News (1967), and a photograph of a cheque presentation to the Toronto Chapter of Kupat Holim. Also included is a UJA campaign programme booklet for an event honouring the consul general of Israel, Shmuel Ovnat (1977). Identified in the photograph is (left to right): M. Katz, A. Speisman, S. Wineberg, Hy Fogelman, J. Snider, R. Tinianon, A. Naiman, and Y. Cheifitz.

File consists of photographs from three different photography jobs shooting publicity images for the 1979 Walk for Israel. The photos include the UJA 30th anniversary Walkathon challenge, with a meeting of men in suits and the head of the Pharmacy team, Izzy Snider, being awarded a plaque by David Bloom for raising the most money; runners photographed in a field at 183 Gordon Road; and students at Beth Tikvah Synagogue, with Elliott Novak and Stuart Razin holding a poster and passport and wearing buttons. The poster reads, "United We Walk: The Canada-Israel Friendship Walk. Walk for an Israeli Child, Sunday May 27, 1979."
Also included is an envelope containing one of the passports and one of the buttons referred to above.
