Other individuals in the photographs including Phil Granovsky, Theodor Meron, the Israeli Ambassador, Shmul Ounat, the Israeli consul of Toronto, Dave Marks, and the guests giving a standing ovation in the banquet hall.

The event featured Golda Meir, the Prime Minister of Israel. Photographs depict Golda Meir standing and sitting at the banquet, addressing an audience, shaking hands and posing with guests. They also depict Eddie Creed and Murray Koffler speaking with Meir and addressing the banquet guests. - Max Shecter was born on July 7, 1923 to Joseph and Helen Shecter. He was married to Florence Fox and they had three children: Trudy, Debbie and Barry. Max Shecter was the Secretary -Treasurer for Toronto Bedding Company Limited. He was an active member of the Toronto Jewish Community and was affiliated with the following organizations: Beth Sholom Congregation, United Synagogues of America, B'nai Brith, Israel Bond Organization, Joint Community Relations Committee, Canadian Jewish Congress, Zionist Organization of Canada and United Jewish Appeal's Furniture division. Max Shecter was honoured with a Beth Sholom Israel Bond Dinner for dedicated leadership and by Upper Canada Lodge, B'nai Brith in 1959.

- File consists chiefly of correspondence and notes relating to a 1973 Seventh Brigade reunion in Israel which Ben Dunkelman attended. The correspondence includes letters from Golda Meir, the Israeli Prime Minister, as well as from Yossie Mann, who invited Dunkelman to the reunion. Also included in the file are single copies of the magazines Haolan Haza (This World), Bamachane G'danya, and Bamachane. The first of these contains an article about Yitzhak Sade, a Palmach commander during the Arab-Israeli War; the second, published by the youth wing of the IDF, contains general army information; and the third, published by the IDF in an independence day edition, includes an article about Shlomo Shamir and the Battle of Latrun during the Arab-Israeli War.

- John G. Diefenbaker was born in Neustadt, Ontario on Sept. 18, 1895 to William and Mary. He joined the Canadian Officers' Training Corps and served as lieutenant with the 105th Saskatoon Fusiliers' Regiment between the years 1916-1917. Afterwards, he returned to school in Saskatchewan and became a lawyer starting up a practice in Wakaw.
- He married Edna Brauer, then after her death, he remarried in 1953 to Olive E. Freeman Palmer. He had no children.
- John G. Diefenbaker was elected to the house of Parliament in 1940 and won the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party in 1956. The Party won the 1957 election and John G. Diefenbaker became Canada's 13th Prime Minister. He was defeated in 1963 by the Liberals, and in 1967 Diefenbaker was replaced as the P.C. leader by Robert Stansfield.
- During his reign as Prime Minister, he initiated the Canadian Bill of Rights, which was later adopted in 1960. John G. Diefenbaker died on Aug. 16, 1979.
- The 1973 Negev dinner, along with the erection of the John G. Diefenbaker Parkway in Israel, was the Toronto Jewish Community's recognition of his humanitarian efforts and his commitment to Israel.
