Item is a poster, white with green printing, of the United Jewish Appeal of Metropolitan Toronto Maccabiah '77, taking place Sunday, May 29. It lists three component events: 8th annual UJA Walkathon, UJA-B'nai B'rith Runathon, and YM-YWHA Swimathon. The slogan reads "Join the community-wide sport day for UJA." Poster also features a symbol of the event: a Star of David with a walker, runner and swimmer inside it.

John Glass was a trustee of the Toronto Board of Education from 1928-1930 and alderman on the city council for four years after that. In 1934 he was elected member of the Ontario parliament for the St. Andrew riding where he served for nine years.
Scope and Content
File consists of a 1928 postcard promoting the election of John Glass as a candidate for the Board of Education in Toronto, and a postcard for Glass's 1932 campaign for aderman in Ward Four.

This accession consists of two photographs taken by Judith Ghert of the former Mount Sinai Hospital facade on Yorkville Ave. The facade was saved from demolition, moved back from the sidewalk and is now being incorporated into a new condo development on the site that will feature retail space on the ground level.
