- The cultural and education wing of the northern branch of the Y.M.-Y.W.H.A. was supposed to be built as part of the original northern branch, opened in 1961. However, lack of funds caused the wing to be put on hold until the 1970 completion program began. The addition of the cultural and educational wing of the northern branch included the Koffler Centre for the Arts, the Leah Posluns Theatre and improved physical education facilities.
- Scope and Content
- This file consists of textual records relating to the dedication of the cultural and education wing of the northern branch of the Y.M.-Y.W.H.A. This includes an itinerary for events held during the dedication week along with two copies of a dedication week program book, a dedication ceremony pamphlet, and a newspaper article from the CJN.
