Scope and Content
Series consists of articles, book reviews and works written in Yiddish and English by Ben Kayfetz for various publications, including the Jewish Western Bulletin, Jewish Standard, Fraternally Yours and others. This series also consists of biographical and autobiographical works he composed and translated. These include a first person account of the Kielce pogrom as experienced by Moses Kwasnievski and a biographical work on J.B. Salsberg. Also included in this series are various interviews conducted by Kayfetz with members of the Jewish community, many of which he used as source material to compose his written works.

This accession consists of two photographs taken by Judith Ghert of the former Mount Sinai Hospital facade on Yorkville Ave. The facade was saved from demolition, moved back from the sidewalk and is now being incorporated into a new condo development on the site that will feature retail space on the ground level.

The City Dye Works was a cleaning and dying company that was owned and managed by Solomon Zaid and Isaac Siderson. In additions to their cleaning and dying services, the company sponsored a weekly 15 minute radio program each Wednesday on CFCA radio.
Scope and Content
File consists of plans, drawings, building permit receipts, and specifications of a large single storey factory located at 138-146 Claremont Street for the City Dye Works. Elevation views, floor plans, sections, and a drawing of the piping system are included.

Scope and Content
File consists of records pertaining to Saul Cowan's association with the York-Finch General Hospital. Included are a pre-construction publicity booklet for the hospital, a fund raising report, a workshop report, correspondence, a certificate presented to Saul Cowan in 1997 in recognition of his commitment to the hospital, and publicity photos of Saul Cowan when he served as chairman.
