(e.g. notifying Toronto police of his absence, rerouting The Jewish Morning Journal, gardening services); a letter from Toronto G'millath Chasidim Association contacting Katz as guarantor or a loan; correspondence concerning properties owned by Katz (e.g. rent owning, property assessment, utilities, purchase of property in Bronte, ON in 1931, notice from the Department of Buildings requesting a repair of a chimney, insurance); a postcard in Yiddish; a personal letter of thanks from Samuel Factor, M.P.; a bill of sale for plumbing supplies; birthday greetings; correspondence with Horowitz Bros. & Margareten concerting information regarding the Customs Division of Canada and correspondence sent form Poland (e.g. a copy of a marriage certificate written in Hebrew and Yiddish, a wedding invitation) and miscellaneous correspondence in Yiddish. Also included are two letters sent by Katz to business associates requesting they not do business with his son, Ben, following Ben's decision to leave Reliable Tobacco once he got engaged in 1936. Also included is a medical report by Dr. A. I. Willinsky.

File consists of two letters. The first, dated November 6th, 1918, is a letter from Edmund Scheuer's brother, Benno, to Jessica (Jessie) Bloom, his daughter-in-law, congratulating her on just having learned of her marriage on Novermber 3rd, 1918, to Isadore Scheuer. The second, dated February 23rd, 1959, is a letter from Edith M. Butt, 15 Minto Place, Toronto, to Edmund Scheuer Ltd. Mrs. Butt was a customer of the store and was writing to thank Scheuer's for her diamond engagement ring purchased thirty-five years earlier.
Ink has started to create holes in the paper of the letter from 1918.

This file consists of letters to members and notices of events/speakers. Some examples include letters to notify members an emergency meeting to raise funds for the Rabbi Meyer Berlin Forest, notices of guest speakers (e.g. Rabbi Shmuel Zvi Weiss, Rabbi Shmuel Ben Zion), announcements of special meetings. Also included is a letter to a handyman requesting unfinished work be completed.
This file consists of correspondence between J.P. Katz and individuals in Palestine, Israel and United States. Included are hand-written letters from Rabbi Weiss and B.M. Cohen in Palestine,New Year's greeting from Grand Rabbi Taub,letters from Chaim Berkowics and Gotlib in N.Y., correspondence with various organizations in Israel and U.S. including but not limited to Vaad Hatzala, Ezras Torah and Der Mizrachi Weg. Also includied is a copy of the test of the proposed Constitution for the State of Israel taken from the New York Times, December 1948 and a certificate from the Jewish National Fund.
Accession consists of the minutes taken by the Mizrachi youth group.
Mizrachi Toronto is a religious Zionist group that also had a youth group component. Mizrachi's main objectives were the establishment and rebuiding of Israel and the promotion of traditional religious values.
File contains a letter Dunkelman in his role as the National Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of Canada wrote to Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau. Dunkelman urges Trudeau to protect Canadian Jews from an Arab boycott. The file also includes a biography Dunkelman used when representing Jewish organizations.
This file contains letters which Yeshivah Torath Chaim sent to supporters, dating from roughly 1947 to 1959. The letters ask for financial support, invite supporters to high holiday services, and alert them to special events and meetings.

Of particular note are two brochures by Morris (Moshe) Grossman objecting to the JF&CS's practice of placing Jewish orphans in non-Jewish homes due to the shortage of Jewish foster homes.
File consists of letters written around the time of World Pride 2014. The first letter, dated 9 May 2014, is from Justine Apple to someone at Pride Toronto with the initials TK. In the letter, Justine vouches for the Danforth Jewish Circle (DJD). The second letter, also dated 9 May 2014, is from Justine Apple and is addressed to the same individual. In the letter, Justine vouches for Congregation Shir Libeynu.
