- Accession consists of records pertaining to the volunteer efforts of Shoshana Cole when she served as chair of the Women's Division of the United Jewish Appeal. Included is a gold engraved scrapbook presented to Shoshana by the 1971 United Jewish Appeal, Israel Special Fund. The scrapook includes photographs from Shoshana's installation as chair, with her predecessor Cecily Peters and successor Edith Eason. There are publicity stills of Shoshana with other volunteers from the UJA Women's Division, with Donald Carr Q.C., newly elected president of the United Jewish Welfare Fund, and with Dr. Ralph Halbert, 1971 UJA-ISF general chairman. In addition, there are newspaper clippings and an official portrait of Shoshana Cole.

- Mrs. Louis J. (Shoshana) Cole was elected chair of the 1971 United Jewish Appeal - Israel Special Fund Women's Division in 1971. Born in Toronto, she is the daughter of Edward and Eva Herman.
