- According to the Toronto Daily Star (19 November 1953, page 12), this Torah scroll was donated on 22 November 1953 to the Bais Yehuda Synagogue, located on Dovercourt Roard, near Bloor Street. The Torah was donated by the Love family in memory of congregation pioneer Yitchak ("Isaac") Love. During the ceremony, the Torah was officially consecrated by Rabbi Bernard Rosensweig and guest speaker Rabbi Abraham Kelman, former rabbi of the Bais Yehuda Congregation and leader of Brooklyn's Prospect Park Jewish Centre.
