The Combined Youth Appeal was a fundraising arm of the United Jewish Appeal campaign that encompassed the many youth groups in the city. A staff person at the Y.M.-Y.W.H.A. was appointed to coordinate the fundraising and educational efforts of the campaign, in consultation with UJA staff. Each organization conducted its own campaign and programs to meet its desired targets. The groups were divided into divisions, which elected representatives to the Combined Youth Appeal cabinet. The cabinet acted as a liaison between the Combined Youth Appeal and the United Jewish Appeal.
