- The Canadian Peace Congress (CPC) was established in 1949 to advocate for world peace and disarmament. Today, it continues this vision working "against imperialism and neo-colonialism and for a world based on peaceful cooperation and international solidarity." During the 1950s and 1960s, CPC was a leader in the peace movement in Canada. Both the Labour Progressive Party and the United Jewish Peoples Order were associated members of the CPC.
