Rentals document employee address, description of rental unit, name and number of occupants, date moved in, rent due date, and amount of rent. Accession consists of records documenting the governance, operation, and programs of the Hillel Children's Workshop. Included are meeting minutes, correspondence, policy documents, programming records, newsletters, mission statements, financial records, course outlines, class lists, and teacher handbooks. Also included are photographs of special events, such as Hanukkah, Purim, and Sukkot parties.
Administrative History
Established in 1974, the Hillel Children's Workshop was a cooperative Jewish Sunday school that ran programs for both parents and children. The curriculum was focused on Jewish humanist principles and based on biblical and secular sources. As a cooperative group, parents were actively involved in the organization. In 2012, the school closed due to decreased enrolment.

File consists of textual records documenting the JFWB's involvement in a survey of poor housing conditions in Toronto conducted by The Lieutenant Governor's Committee on Housing Conditions in Toronto. Included is correspondence, lists and case summaries of clients living in poor housing, an invitation to a National Conference on Housing, a newsletter of the Ontario Housing and Planning Association and copies of federal legislation and municipal by-laws related to housing.

Scope and Content
File consists of photographs of the interior and exterior of new Council House; fact sheets about NCJWC and the Council House building; a letter soliciting donations to help pay the mortgage; a telephone script from the House Campaign Committee Vice Chairman for volunteers calling to check members have pledged donations; and a fact booklet about the new Council House of Service.
Toronto Section's executive historically incorporated five or six vice-presidents, each in charge of a portfolio made up of a group of related committees. In 1963, Toronto Section moved to a new Council House at 4700 Bathurst Street.
Scope and Content
Sub-series includes drawings, photographs, minutes, contracts and correspondence relating to the builiding's construction and later renovations.
The Housing Committee of UJRA, formally known as the Canadian Jewish Congress Holding Corporation Limited, oversaw the placement of new immigrants temporarily in Congress shelters and in UJRA-owned houses. UJRA bought about thirty houses between 1948 and 1951 to provide low income housing for immigrants. These houses were gradually sold to immigrants, who were required to maintain them as immigrant residences for at least a year. The last of them was sold in 1955, but the Holding Corporation continued its work beyond that time.
Scope and Content
Sub-series consists of minutes, invoices, correspondence, reports and lists created by the Housing Committee of UJRA. The records are arranged in chronological-alphabetical order.
