The materials had been stored in a filing cabinet in the current office of Elana Paice Lidsky.
Administrative History
UJA Federation Women's Campaign and Advocacy is the current women's division of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. It grew out of the merger between the former Jewish Women's Federation, a United Jewish Appeal advocacy group, and the UJA Women's Campaign, the fundraising arm of the JWF. Although governed by seperate executives and mandates, the two groups worked together to raise money and provide services through affiliated Jewish community agencies and organizations. Together, they functioned as the Toronto Jewish Congress' Women's Division and the subsequent UJA Federation Women's Division until their official merger around 2000.

Accession consists of three photographs of past presidents and chairs of the UJA Federation's Women's Campaign and Advocacy and its precursors, the Jewish Women's Federation. The photographs include Judy Scheininger (WC&A chair, 1988) and Joan Stevens (WC&A chair, 1989); Judy Gwartz (JWF past president); and Sheila Engel (JWF past president) and Etty Danzig (JWF past president).
Custodial History
The records were in the office of Frances Goldstein, Associate Director for Top Gifts at UJA's Centre for Philanthropy, before being transferred to the OJA.

Notes
Title note: 9/11/13 -- Al Speisman of the Ostrovtzer Independent Mutual Benefit Society said that this is not Ostrovtzer Society. It may in fact be the members of the Ostrovtzer Synagogue, which was a separate institution from the Society. Further verification is required.
