- File consists of two cassette tapes of recorded interviews and shul tours. Unfortunately not all persons are identified. Tape 1 includes an interview with Mr. Harry Lifshitz in Prince Albert. Tape 2 contains a conversation with (Charles or Norman?) Vickar of Edenbridge, Saskatchewan in which they discuss the researchers' planned route and itinerary in the province. Side 2 of tape 2 contains several interviews in Portage, Manitoba, with Rabbi Polonsky, (Mr. William) Glesby, and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Greenberg.

It operates as a non-profit organization with a mission to provide access to educational programs in under-resourced communities worldwide. Originally established to teach essential trades and professions to nineteenth-century Russian Jews, the ORT Foundation has evolved into a foundational institution in Jewish communities across more than forty countries.

- Sub-series consists of correspondence from Chaim Weintraub, secretary of the American ORT Federation, to Max Hartstone and the United Ostrovtzer Aid Committee. The documents address a specific misunderstanding regarding the delivery of a sewing machine to Wolf Mints in Paris, France.
