Scope and Content
Accession consists of photographs and negatives of B'nai Israel Congregation in Galt, (now known as Cambridge), Galt Cemetery, the Spring family business, Artistic Iron Display and tombstones, the Divor family home and business in Port Colborne, a former synagogue from the 1930s in Port Colborne and negaitves of headstones in Brantford Cemetery.
File consists of correspondence and field reports by members of the Central Region Educational Department regarding the status of Jewish education in small Ontario communities (and the community of Rouyn-Noranda in Quebec), including Belleville, Branford, Cornwall, Hamilton, Kingston, Kirkland Lake, London, Niagara Falls, North Bay, Oakville, Orillia, Oshawa, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, Sault Ste. Marie, Sarnia, Sudbury, Timmins, Welland and Windsor.
Following the Arab-Israeli War of 1948-49, Ben Dunkelman frequently travelled to Israel for pleasure as well as for business. Although he once went leopard hunting in Africa, Dunkelman usually visited the Middle East or the United States when outside Canada.
Scope and Content
Sub-series contains maps, a passport, a 1953 travel diary and some correspondence. The records relate to Benjamin Dunkelman’s travels to Israel. The sub-series includes files for Dunkelman’s passport and his travel maps.
File consists of textual records documenting the educational and support services for Baycrest's staff. Included are brochures, flyers, and programs for "Clinic Days" and other workshops and symposiums, booklets outlining library resources for staff, and a speech delivered by Dr. M. Gilman on "The Terminal Patient" at the Baycrest Hospital Grand Rounds. Also included is a business card for the Employee Assistance Program (a counseling service for staff and volunteers).
