- Minnie came to Kirkland Lake in the 1920s with her father, Elia Dubinsky, a musician, who was hired in Montreal to conduct the orchestra in the Strand Theatre. He and his wife opened Kirkland Lake's first delicatessen called the Tel Aviv.

- Mr. and Mrs. Coffler were married at the First Roumanian Congregation in Toronto in 1904. Bernard Coffler was one of the founders of this synagogue. The couple married soon after they had arrived from Roumania. The couple hold the distinction of being the first Jewish couple in Toronto to marry on a Sunday. Evidently, they received special permission to wed on that day from the Mayor. Bernard Coffler owned the Coffler Bedding Company on Parliament Street. The couple had three children: Mark, Goldie and Sam.
- Custodial History
- The photograph was donated by the Coffler's granddaughter, Carol Hamilton.
- Scope and Content
- The photograph of Mr. and Mrs. Coffler was taken at their golden anniversary party held on Sunday, 22 May 1954. The party was attended by two hundred guests and was held at the Murray House on Beverley Street. Mrs. Coffler was wearing a rose-coloured crepe and lace dress and Mr. Coffler wore a dark suit.

- Photograph was in the possession of Cherie Friend. She believes it originally belonged to her grandparents who had a music shop in Chicago. Her grandfather was born in Quebec.

- Hyman James was the son of Yuda and Esther James. He lived at 327 Palmerston Blvd. and he ran the Men's Clothing Manufacturing Company and later H. James and Company with his brother Philip. He married Augusta (Gussie) Rumm on February 22nd, 1916 at the University Avenue Synagogue. He was 33 years old at the time and she was 18. Her parents were Joseph and Rebecca Rumm. Hyman died at the age of 50 in 1933 due to accidental poisoning.
- Scope and Content
- Item is a wedding photograph of Hyman James and Augusta Rumm. It was taken at the University Avenue Synagogue where they were married. Augusta (Gussie) is located in the second row in the centre with the white hat and Hyman is on her left.
