He was released in 1986 and immediately emigrated to Israel with his wife, Avital. Page One's national affairs editor Michael Barembaum provides a lengthy report about Sharansky.

- Yael Dayan (born 12 February 1939) is an Israeli politician and author. She served as a member of the Knesset between 1992 and 2003, and from 2008 to 2013 was the chair of Tel Aviv city council. Her service on the city council ended with the 2013 election. She is the daughter of Moshe Dayan and sister of Assi Dayan and Udi Dayan.
- Moshe Dayan (20 May 1915 – 16 October 1981) was an Israeli military leader and politician. As commander of the Jerusalem front in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (1953–1958) during the 1956 Suez Crisis, but mainly as Defense Minister during the Six-Day War in 1967, he became a worldwide fighting symbol of the new state of Israel.

- Item consists of a recording of Page One about Yael Dayan's relationship with her father, Israeli military leader and politician Moshe Dayan, on the occasion of her book "My Father, His Daughter." Includes sections of an interview in which she discusses her father's affairs; her parent's divorce in the 1960s; how she maintained a relationship with him; his frustration with his sickness (cancer) in his later years; her parting ways with Dayan's second wife, Rachel, and subsequent rekindling with her mother, Ruth, after his death.

- Item consists of a recording of Page One about the Soviet–Afghan War with an interview with Janice Prager, a nurse from California who served as a volunteer at an Afghan refugee camp on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan between November and December 1985. She classifies the conflict as a genocide and believes that her Jewishness was the driving factor for her choice to serve as a volunteer, according to her, to make sure that genocides never happen again. She talks about what inspired her to work in the region, how she arrived there, and the several Afghan organizations involved in the war.
