This committee was charged with organizing community events and publications to commemorate what was thought to be the centenary of Jewish settlement in Toronto. It in fact republished a number of relevant articles and pamphlets, some of which co-sponsored with the United Jewish Welfare Fund. Much of its proposed programme, however, never came to fruition.

File consists of three letters. Two followed particpation in a recent Citizen Impact Institute; one to Members of Parliament, and the other to Citizen Impact Institute delegates. The third letter to officers makes a follow up suggestion to the Citizen Impact program and asks for their reaction.
File consists of a position paper on the NCJWC called "School of Citizenship Particpation". It explains the history of NCJW, the purpose for the organization, its values, goals, and expectations for their members.
Accession consists of historical material collected by the CJC Central Region Centenary Committee or Historical Committee (both committee names appear in the file). These materials include several CJC Ontario Division documents dating from 1934. The bulk of the accession consists of reports of interviews conducted in 1956 with members of Holy Blossom as part of a Holy Blossom Centennial research project.

Series consists of campaign materials, photographs and general correspondence related to Phil Givens’ role as alderman for the City of Toronto between 1951 and 1960. The photographs primarily document various city events attended by Givens; of note are images of Givens meeting with the Queen Mum, Johnny Lombardi, and Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau.

Series consists of records documenting Phil Givens’ work as Mayor of Toronto from 1963 until 1966. The bulk of the records are photographs featuring Mayor Givens at various city and community events; of note are images of Givens meeting with Robert Kennedy, Israeli President Zalmon Shazar, Sam Shopsowitz, and Pope Paul VI. Also included is general correspondence, speeches, election campaign materials, cartoons, certificates, artifacts, textual records related to the acquisition of the Henry Moore sculpture, a VHS cassette of Givens discussing the building of the New City Hall and an audiocassette documenting a council trip to Montreal in 1966. In addition, there is a small number of photographs which document events that occurred outside the dates of his time in office, but which relate to his role as mayor.

Accession consists of material documenting City Shul, a Reform synagogue in downtown Toronto. Included is "Siddur Shirat HaLev: The City Shul Community Prayerbook." The siddur was designed by Baruch Sienna and edited by Rabbi Elyse Goldstein. Baruch described the siddur thus: "A contemporary, illustrated, liberal siddur for Shabbat, weekday, and festivals." The siddur features content from Canadian poets (e.g., Leonard Cohen, A. M. Klein) and artists. According to the donor, the siddur was "the product of many volunteer congregants over several years of effort."

The Board of Education for the city of Toronto in 1933 was made up of 20 members, including one Jewish representative -- Mrs. Ida L. Siegel. Ida Siegel was elected to the Board of Education in 1930 and held the post for six years.

The mandate of the Citizens' Victory Council was to publicize, support, and coordinate activities of existing war service organizations. It was a non-partisan organization.

File consists of a letter to John Glass from the City of Toronto Victory Loan Committee regarding his acceptance of an invitation to address representatives of the Superior Cloak Company. There is also documentation of a conference on April 15, 1942 of the Citizens' Victory Council including an invitation to John Glass to attend, his response, and a publicity announcement (described as "conference call") detailing the speakers and topics to be discussed.
