- This accession consists of one oversized photograph of the executive members of the Jewish National Workers Alliance, taken by Famous Studio at their annual conference. The conference was held on June 12 to June 15, 1942. The photograph features some touch-ups and markings, as well as the name of the studio etched in white ink, presumably by the photographer. Prints of the photo were likely made from this proof. Pictured are:

Included are notices of meetings, a copy of a financial audit report (November 1940), an invitation to a Remembrance Evening in honour of Jewish War Victims under Nazi-Fascist Oppression (March 1942), a letter from the Department of National Services requesting various religious organizations observe a day of Prayer & Dedication to mark the third anniversary of the declaration of war and a request to attend a Peoples' Rally in tribute to Soviet Jewry (September 1942). - Item is a book published by the Jewish World Relief Conference that relates the story of the victims of the pogroms.
- Administrative History
- The Jewish World Relief Conference (JWRC) was created in August 1920 at the Conference of Carlsbad. The latter was organized by the Committee of Jewish Delegations. One hundred representatives of sixty Jewish organizations, themselves representing twenty-eight countries, were assembled. The JWRC's aim was to centralize the relief work carried out by Jewish associations.
- The organization was represented by a central council, which consisted of thirty-seven members, who in turn elected twelve members to an executive committee. The latter directed the work of the JWRC. Its seat was in Paris.
