This accession consists of one letter from Rabbi Abraham Feinberg of Holy Blossom Temple to Mrs. Jack Silverman of Sudbury regarding the bar mitzvah of her son, Stephen. The letter includes instructions and procedures for bar mitzvahs held at Holy Blossom.
Administrative History
Lilian Rosenthal is the daughter of Rabbi William Rosenthal. Rabbi Rosenthal had been the rabbi in Sudbury for many years. The family currently owns a Judaica store on Bathurst Street, named Miriam's.

Scope and Content
Accession consists of an invitation and guest list for the bar mitzvah of Dale Lastman, the son of former mayor Mel Lastman. The bar mitzvah took place at Adath Israel Synagogue on 28 March 1970, was followed by a luncheon the same day and then a dinner at the Royal York Hotel the following night.

Admin History/Bio
Martin Irwin Lockshin was born in Toronto in 1952, the son of Louis Leon and Sylvia Lockshin (née Freedman). He received his PhD from Brandeis University in 1984 and is also an ordained rabbi.
Currently, Professor Martin Lockshin is an associate professor of humanities in the Department of Languages, Literature, and Linguistics at York University. He has published extensively and recently completed a term as director of York's Centre for Jewish Studies.

Accession consists of material documenting Gary Wagman and his family. Included are: sixty-five photographs of the Gold-Wagman family. Twenty-eight of the photographs were taken at Gary's bar mitzvah party, which was held on 8 March 1964 at the North Bathurst Talmud Torah.
Administrative History
Gary Irving Wagman (1951–) was born 19 March 1951 and is the youngest son of Ann Wagman (née Gold, 1926–2017) and Sollie Wagman (1921–2014). His older brother Howard, known as Hushy (1947–2001), was born 9 October 1947. Gary is the grandson of David Gold and Rose Gold (his maternal grandparents) and Celia Wagman and Jacob Wagman (his paternal grandparents).

David Day and his brother Jacob Day started a Hebrew school in Toronto on Major Street. Eventually, David Day started his own cheder on Markham Street and Jacob Day operated another cheder on Ulster Street. They both taught during the mid 1900s, from approximately 1925 to 1940.
David Day had two sons named Sam and Nat. Nat Day was in the army and was married to Evelyn Day.
Scope and Content
Copy photograph of Mr. Day's cheder that was taken for a student's bar mitzvah. David Day is in the middle of the group and his son is standing behind him in uniform. The photograph was taken in 1942.
