- Accession consists of materials pertaining to the life of Saul Einhorn of Oshawa, Ontario. Included are his Canadian naturalization certificate, ketubah for his first marriage, newspaper obituaries, and a letter of condolence to his widow from the Canadian Jewish Congress.
- Administrative History
- Saul "Sol" Einhorn was born in Galicia on 12 December 1904. Sol moved to Oshawa, Ontario, in 1924, where he resided for the rest of his life. In 1927, he married Eva Collis. Eva and Sol had one daughter: Eleanor Grill. Eva died in 1950. In 1957, Sol married Tillie Newton.
- Sol Einhorn was the proprietor of Oshawa Appliances Ltd., which was located at 78 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa. He was a supporter of both the Canadian Brotherhood of Christians and Jews and the Zionist movement and an active member of Beth Zion Synagogue. According to an obituary that appeared in the Oshawa Times, Sol was known as "Mr. Synagogue" by other synagogue members.
- Sol died in 1962 on a Friday morning while at Beth Zion Synagogue just before the start of the service; he was fifty-eight years old. At the time of his death, he resided at 424 Rossland Road West. His funeral service was held Sunday morning in Toronto in the Park Memorial Funeral Chapel.

- Accession consists of photographs of Rae Saul and her relatives outside the Saul family homes on Elizabeth or Venaly Street and Nassau Street. Identified are Millie Aaron, Anna Saul, and Sam Saul.
- Administrative History
- Joseph and Anna Saul came to Canada from Romania in the early 1900s. They had six children together: Sam (b. 1908), Rachel (Rae, b. 1910), Ida, Jeanette, Bonnie, and Dorothy. Joseph abandoned the family around 1923 and travelled to California to become an actor. Although his family never heard from him again, they later recognized him in movies under the name Maurice Samuels. Anna was deaf and mute and worked as a seamstress, making ladies clothing out of her own home. Rae obtained work in a hat factory when she was 13 years old and continued in this trade throughout the remainder of her life. Around 1950 she opened her own hat store at Eglinton and Dufferin called Rae's Hats. She briefly lived above the store with her husband, Sam Silverman.

- Accession consists of a letter composed by Haliburton Highlands Museum Curator Stephen Hill describing the professional and political life of Saul Bernstein, former resident, business owner and member of municipal council in Haliburton, Ontario. Included in the accession are several photocopies of sources Stephen Hill relied on for his research including: Saul Bernstein's obituary published in the Haliburton County Newspaper in 1952; an announcement of Bernstein's teardown of a store and residence previously purchased from Mrs. Charles Henderson, Lindsay Daily, May 1936; Thursday Post of Lindsay, 7 May1936, advertisement announcing the sale of Haliburton Motors, Haliburton County News, May 1945; fire at Chamber's Motors, Haliburton County News, January 1950; Haliburton Highlands Historical Society plaque presentation to Randall and Marty Grant at Bernstein's storefront established in 1923, The Highlander, July 2016; and several advertisements of S. Zalkin, Minden Echo 1921 - 1923. In addition there is a colour copy of an original invoice from Haliburton Motors, ca. 1930s.

- This accession consists of ten electronic copies of photographs documenting the Laskin family and the Jewish community of Thunder Bay. The photographs depict a 1937 royal coronation parade float created by the Jewish community, as well as a portrait of Saul Laskin and members of the Laskin family and some photos of Saul during his political election campaign and during a store giveaway. Also included is the sod turning ceremony of the new synagogue and the street naming of Saul Laskin Drive in Thunder Bay. Also identified in the photographs are: Murray Stitt, Rabbi Sternberg, and Mayor Norman Wilson.
