Scope and Content
Accession consists of original and photocopies of photographs related to the Lyons, Agranove, Rotenberg, Pollock families from Toronto and Hamilton. Included are family portraits, wedding portraits, the family likely at community events, and a photo of the family at Crystal Beach. There is also a photocopy of a story in the Canadian Jewish News about a Rotenberg family reunion in 2003.
Administrative History
William Agranove was active in Keiltzer Society and was in the furniture manufacturing business. He was also a major fundraiser for the UJA, a close friend of Sam Kronick. He is mentioned in Hesh Troper's book "None is Too Many" as helping Jews come to Toronto from Europe.
Rotenberg Family were a large family with 10 children. Saul Rotenberg raised horses and was partners with Lyons in the furniture business that had many locations, one on Yonge Street.

Scope and Content
The accession includes a oil painting of Henry Dworkin, the grandfather of the donor. The painting was created by Sam Soboloff, who owned a tobacco store on St. Clair Avenue West during the 1920s.
In addition, the accession consists of graphic and textual material including photographs of the Dworkin and Goldstick familes and the Dworkin travel business, correspondence written by the Dworkins, press clippings, an album of condolences on the death of Henry Dworkin in 1928, as well as other material. Item lists of the materials, compiled previously, are included in the box.
Custodial History
Item lists found in the boxes indicate that these records belonged to Ellen (Honey) Arthurs.
Administrative History
Harry William (Raxlen) Arthurs was born on May 9, 1935 in Toronto to Lewis and Ellen Honey Raxlen. He was adopted in 1942 by Leon Arthurs of Toronto, Honey's second husband. He is the grandson of Dorothy and Henry Dworkin. His sister Cinda was born on Sept. 1, 1942, also in Toronto. In 1958, Arthurs married Sheila Rubin. After their divorce, he remarried Penelope Milnes and together they had two sons, Joshua and Gideon.
Harry Arthurs received his B.A. in 1955 and his LL.B. in 1958, both from the University of Toronto. He received his Masters of Law in 1959 from Harvard and joined Osgoode Hall Law School's faculty in 1961. Between 1968 and 1970, Arthurs served as Associate Dean and then as Dean, from 1972 to 1977. Arthurs served as president and vice-chancellor of York University from 1985 to 1992.
Arthurs is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (1982), an Officer of the Order of Canada (1989), a Member of the Order of Ontario (1995), and a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy (2003). He was awarded the D.W. Mundell Medal in 1988, the first Killam Laureate in the Social Sciences in 2002, and the first Bora Laskin Award for Distinguished Contribution to Labour Law in 2003. His many publications include his book "Without the Law: Administrative Justice and Legal Pluralism in Nineteenth Century England."

Scope and Content
This accession consists of textual records and photographs documenting members of the Agranove and Lyons families, specifically the donor's grandfather, William Agranove, as well as his mother and father, Frances and Irwin Lyons. The textual records consists mainly of correspondence, however, there are also school report cards and certificates, greeting cards and a souvenir programme. The photographs are group and individual portraits of family members including Avrum Rotenberg, Sarah Rotenberg, Saul Lyons, Mary Agranove, Irwin Lyons, Frances Lyons, Bill Agranove, Anna Lyons, Shirley Lyons, Sam Rotenberg, Nate Rotenberg, Sol Rotenberg, Sam Pollock and Harry Rotenberg.

Scope and Content
Accession consists of textual records, predominantly clippings, from a scrapbook that has been dissassembled. The clippings date from the 1920s through the 1980s and relate to sports, politics, the Toronto Boys' Municipal Council, and Joe Goodman's trucking business. There is also one file of personal correspondence and Goodman's certificate for his Canada Centennial Medal.
The accession also contains one photograph: a panoramic photograph of the Toronto Boys' Municipal Council from 1930. Individuals are identified on the photograph.
The artifacts in the accession include: various ribbons, crests, and badges associated with athletic prowess. Some were given at the Canadian National Exhibition track. These honours were given for sports: rugby, wrestling, and boxing.
Wrestling Clarkson AA medal awarded to Joe Goodman. -- 28 January 1932. -- 1 medal : sterling silver ; 2 cm in diam. -- Manufacturer: Recdos Sterling. -- A sterling silver medal-pendant with an image of two men wrestling on one side and an engraving on the other side In good condition. Rugby league President medal awarded to Joe Goodman. -- 1929. -- 1 medal : copper, brown, white and blue ; 3 x 4 cm. -- A diamond shaped medal with a pattern along the border. Scope and Content
Accession consists of 17 scanned photographs from Joe Solomon's time as a camper and tripper at Camp Timberlane, an overnight camp founded in 1957 by Barry and Philomena Lowes on Lake of Two Islands in the Haliburton Highlands. Since it's founding, Camp Timberlane has catered to Jewish campers from Toronto. There is a finding aid in the folder with the scanned photos.
Administrative History
Joseph Nathan Solomon was born on September 4, 1944 to Myer and Sarah (nee Grafstein) Solomon. He is their middle son. He has two brothers David (deceased 2013) and Robert. Solomon attended Forest Hill Collegiate Institute, University of Toronto for his Bachelors and Osgoode Law School. A highlight of Solomon's life is being a tripper at Camp Timberlane for over 15 years. Solomon practiced law with his father Myer Solomon for the firm Solomon & Solomon and independendly following Myer's retirement and death in the late 1980s. Solomon married Maureen (nee Kokotow) Solomon from Kirkland Lake, ON in 1968. They have two daughters Alida Solomon and Dara Solomon, who started serving as the director of the Ontario Jewish Archives in 2012. Alida Solomon is a chef and restaurant owner.

Admin History/Bio
Joseph L. Kronick was born 30 September 1926. His parents were Samuel Kronick (d. 3 November 1962) and Gertrude Kronick (née Willinsky). Originally from Lithuania, Samuel immigrated to Canada in 1903. He founded the American Hat Company and was responsible for organizing Toronto's first union in the millnery trade. An agricultural settlement for Jewish refugees in Israel was established and named Kronick Colony in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kronick. The couple had two sons, Joseph L. and Dr. Moses B. Kronick, and two daughters, Miriam Kronick (Mrs. B. Horowitz) and Leah Kronick (Mrs. David D. Cohen). Dr. Moses B. Kronick resided in Toronto, while both of the daughters moved to Los Angeles, California.
Joe and his wife, Doreen Kronick (née Pape), had three children: Noah, Sarah, and Adam. Joe was the owner and director of Camp White Pine, a children's summer camp he opened in 1956. The camp is located in the Haliburton Highlands outside of Toronto. Joe's son, Adam, took over as director of Camp White Pine in 1987. He has run the camp with his wife, Dana, as co-director since 1990. Joe Kronick died on 10 March 2019.
