- Batya “Bashe” Topel was possibly from Ostrowiec, Poland. She and her husband David immigrated to Palestine in 1935 with their seven children.
- Scope and Content
- File consists of a letter from Batye "Bashe" Topel in Tel Aviv, Palestine,to her brother, Ch. Wortman, dated 5 May. Batye mentions a letter from Cyprus regarding a member of the Yobvitins family in need of financial assistance to relocate to Palestine. She writes about the work of the committee and the needs of recent immigrants to Palestine. An envelope with multiple stamps and postmarks is included. File also contains a typed translation.
