Robert Joel Kamin was the son of Sylvia Goldstick and Dr. Izzy Kamin. Sylvia was Betty Goldstick Lindgren's niece and the daughter of Maurice and Regina Goldstick (née Baum). The couple married in 1940 and lived in San Fransisco. The other children included David and Bruce.

David Greenberg was an electrical engineer, who married at the age of nineteen. He later became a chiropracter in Toronto. His father, Louis Greenberg, was a tailor whose shop was located in the Jarvis and Parliament area on Queen Street East. The family originally belonged to the Berkeley Street Synagogue, but there was no minyan for David's bar mitzvah and they moved to the McCaul Street Synagogue. David's stepmother's name was Sadie.

Item is a portrait of David Greenberg, his father Louis Greenberg and his stepmother Sadie. The picture was taken for David's bar mitzvah on October 13, 1935.

Jack Bernstein was born in Toronto in 1918. He was the son of Akiva Bernstain, the famous cantor at Beth Tzedec. They lived for some time on Major Street and then moved to 516 Palmerston Street during the 1930s.
Jack began his career at RKO as a contract clerk and moved up the ranks to become Toronto branch manager and sales manager during the late 1940s. He later became president of Famous Players Theatres Canada.
He married Mary and they had two children: Harriet and Mark. Bernstein passed away in 1988.

The item is an original portrait along with a copy of Jack Bernstein wearing a tallis during his bar mitzvah.

This item is a copy print and corresponding negative of the Jewish community assembled in the Adath Israel Synagogue banquet hall for the bar mitzvah party of Larry Kussner. The large crowd is seated at several banquet tables in the hall, which is decorated for the occasion.

Scope and Content
This item is a photograph of the Jewish community of Kirkland Lake assembled for the bar mitzvah of Joe Atkins, now a chartered accountant in Toronto. The photograph depicts that group seated at several banquet tables in the Legion Hall.
Notes
Typed notes on the back continue: "Rare view of Hyman with his hat off, the grandfather, standing next to Harry. The only one missing is the photographer - Eddie Duke - and to this day I wish I could have been included. Picture taken in the Legion Hall which was koshered for the occasion.".

This accession consists of one letter from Rabbi Abraham Feinberg of Holy Blossom Temple to Mrs. Jack Silverman of Sudbury regarding the bar mitzvah of her son, Stephen. The letter includes instructions and procedures for bar mitzvahs held at Holy Blossom.
Administrative History
Lilian Rosenthal is the daughter of Rabbi William Rosenthal. Rabbi Rosenthal had been the rabbi in Sudbury for many years. The family currently owns a Judaica store on Bathurst Street, named Miriam's.

Accession consists of an invitation and guest list for the bar mitzvah of Dale Lastman, the son of former mayor Mel Lastman. The bar mitzvah took place at Adath Israel Synagogue on 28 March 1970, was followed by a luncheon the same day and then a dinner at the Royal York Hotel the following night.

Accession consists of material documenting the Airst family. Included are photographs of Malcolm Airst at his bar mitzvah in 1970 and Randall Airst at his bar mitzvah in 1973.
