- Accession consists of Harris and Shayne Family photographs and two pins: one pin of five military medals awarded to Sgt. Fred Harris for his service in the Second World War; and a 'G R' metal pin with a cross medal awarded to Sgt. Fred Harris for his service in the Second World War.
- Administrative History
- Sgt. Fred Harris, born in Toronto in 1921, became a member of the reserve army and volunteered for active service upon the outbreak of the Second World War. He was reported killed in action in France on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He is buried in the Canadian Military Cemetery in France.
Jack Harris is the son of Dr. William Harris and the brother of Fred Harris.
