- Series consists of the records of fifty-two synagogues in communities west of Winnipeg. The records include black-and-white Polaroid prints, some with negatives, of the exterior and interior of synagogues, and 35 mm colour slides of the same. Series also contains forms filled out for the Canadian Inventory of Historic Buildings. These forms detail the buildings' architectural details such as size, shape, construction, windows, doors, trim, stairs, etc. As well, most files contain an inventory sheet of resources gathered (eg., articles, synagogue booklets), including a listing of photographs taken. The series also include two audio cassettes containing recorded interviews and shul tours in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
- The series is arranged alphabetically by city, then synagogue.

- File consists of two cassette tapes of recorded interviews and shul tours. Unfortunately not all persons are identified. Tape 1 includes an interview with Mr. Harry Lifshitz in Prince Albert. Tape 2 contains a conversation with (Charles or Norman?) Vickar of Edenbridge, Saskatchewan in which they discuss the researchers' planned route and itinerary in the province. Side 2 of tape 2 contains several interviews in Portage, Manitoba, with Rabbi Polonsky, (Mr. William) Glesby, and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Greenberg.

- The Old Toronto Western Hospital Act was enacted in 1914. Grace Hospital amalgamated with Toronto Western Hospital in 1926.

- File consists of a letter from law firm Fasken, Robertson, Aitchison, Pickup & Calvin to John Glass acknowledging their appreciation for his agreeing to introduce the new bill in the Ontario legislature. Two versions of the 1941 act are included, one with explanatory notes following each section with comparisons to the 1914 original.
- Issues covered in the act include the board of governors (duties, rules of election, financial powers, and responsibilities and relationship to medical staff and patrons).
