- Beth Hamidrash Hagadol was a Toronto synagogue which amalgamated with Goel Tzedec in 1952 to form the Beth Tzedec Congregation.
- Alpha Omega is a Jewish dental fraternity which has an alumni chapter in Toronto. Harry Jolley was the national president of the fraternity in 1952.

- Accession consists of two photographs of Bernstein family members. One documents a women's meeting at a home on 678 Crawford Street. Second from left is Esther (Ettie) Bernstein and beside her is Eva Norris. The other photograph is labelled: Organization Meeting of the United Jewish Farmers of Ontario, Holy Blossom Synagogue, March 25, 1925. This photograph has a number of individuals identified on it, including: Dr. Brickner, Hon. Pres.; S. Samuels, Vice Pres.; H. Shackman, Treas.; M. Berman, Executive; S. Levine, Secty; M. Borinsky, Executive; J. Smith, Executive; M. Borenstein, Executive. A member of the donor's family started to identify individuals by marking the photograph with pen. These include Moishe Yukel Bernstein (the donor's great-grandfather), Isadore Bernstein (his grandfather), Tom White, Alta Crystal, Mr. Samuels, Mr. Krupinsky & Saul Crystal.

- Accession consists of photographs of the Bernstein, Seskin and Norris families. Among the photos is a photo album belonging to Eva & Srulik Norris, six painted photographic portraits (oval mounted on card with crayon embellishments); one painting, a worn copy of Readings from the Holy Scriptures issued to Sid Bernstein, while serving with the Canadian Armed Forces, Camp Borden, ca. 1943. This bible is an example of those issued to Jewish Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen, published in the United States by Jewish Welfare Board in 1943. This copy was distributed by the Mount Royal Lodge No. 729, B’nai B’rith, and the War Efforts Committee of the Canadian Jewish Congress, March 1943. In addition there is a Balmoral Hotel business card and a presonal Shana Tova greeting card of the donor's Great Aunt Hinde Bernstein.

- Accession consists of records that document Leonard Berger's activities as a bomber in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War as well as his activities in the immediate post-war years. Textual records include letters written by Leonard to his family during the war, in which he discusses such things as his fellow servicemen, the contents of parcels received from his family, his responsibilities as second navigator, and his plans for upcoming leave's of absence. Also included is Leonard's Royal Canadian Air Force flying log book (1943-1948).
- Scrapbook contains photographs of Leonard's childhood and wartime experience, such as images of his airforce crew and fellow servicemen on leave. Scrapbook also contains images of Leonard's family and friends from the post-war era, as well as some textual records, including Leonard's wartime identity card, will, and map of Germany.

- Leonard was born in Toronto on March 3, 1923 to Samuel and Rebecca (nee Rottenberg) Berger. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a bomber during the Second World War and married Goldie Fine in 1950.

- Accession consists of sound recordings created by Kay Radio. Included is a recording of the North Y groundbreaking ceremonies at 4600 Bathurst Street in the winter of 1958. Some of the individuals identified speaking are: Rabbi Feinberg, Ellis I. Shapiro, Sam Granatstein, Kelso Roberts (Attorney General of Ontario), Fred Gardiner, Vernon Singer, and Mayor Nathan Phillips.
- Also included is a recording of the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Nothern Completion Program at the North Y on April 20, 1975. Finally, accession includes one photograph of the Leonard Kay and other men standing outside Kay Radio and one family photograph taken at a wedding reception.
- Custodial History
- The donor is the son of Leonard Kay. He found the reels in his parents home in Toronto after they passed away. He had them shipped to his home in Florida and digitized them.
- Administrative History
- Leonard Kay was born in Winnipeg in 1908. Leonard opened Kay Radio near Bloor and Bathurst Street around 1938. The store later moved to 3419 Bathurst Street in the mid to late 1950s. The business installed sound systems, sound trucks, recorded weddings, bar mitzvahs and other events, repaired TVs and installed TV attenae on apartment buildings. Kay Radio installed the sound systems in many of the synagogues around Toronto. Around 1985, Leonard's son, Michael, took over the business. Leonard passed away in 1991.

- Accession consists of a letter composed by Haliburton Highlands Museum Curator Stephen Hill describing the professional and political life of Saul Bernstein, former resident, business owner and member of municipal council in Haliburton, Ontario. Included in the accession are several photocopies of sources Stephen Hill relied on for his research including: Saul Bernstein's obituary published in the Haliburton County Newspaper in 1952; an announcement of Bernstein's teardown of a store and residence previously purchased from Mrs. Charles Henderson, Lindsay Daily, May 1936; Thursday Post of Lindsay, 7 May1936, advertisement announcing the sale of Haliburton Motors, Haliburton County News, May 1945; fire at Chamber's Motors, Haliburton County News, January 1950; Haliburton Highlands Historical Society plaque presentation to Randall and Marty Grant at Bernstein's storefront established in 1923, The Highlander, July 2016; and several advertisements of S. Zalkin, Minden Echo 1921 - 1923. In addition there is a colour copy of an original invoice from Haliburton Motors, ca. 1930s.

- This accession consists of ten issues of the Leonard Athletic Club's newsletter entitled "The Athlete". The issues date from March 1926 to December 1927.
- Administrative History
- The Leonard Athletic Club was organized in March 1924, with the purpose of developing Jewish athletes and having a bigger Jewish representation on the sports field. The name was in honour of Benny Leonard, at the time, the undefeated Lightweight Champion of the World. The Club was similar to other Jewish athletic clubs and city playgrounds of the time, and they often competed against them in various sports and activities. The Athlete was edited by Hye Bossin.

- Jack Bernstein was born in Toronto in 1918. He was the son of Akiva Bernstain, the famous cantor at Beth Tzedec. They lived for some time on Major Street and then moved to 516 Palmerston Street during the 1930s.
- Jack began his career at RKO as a contract clerk and moved up the ranks to become Toronto branch manager and sales manager during the late 1940s. He later became president of Famous Players Theatres Canada.
- He married Mary and they had two children: Harriet and Mark. Bernstein passed away in 1988.

He was married to Helen Schwartz (d. 3 August 2007), the sister of Sylvia Schwartz, and had two daughters, Jill and Jan. He had five grandchildren, Dean, Natalie, Samantha, Duncan and Douglas, and one greatgrandson, Henry. He died on the 10 July 2007.

- Administrative History
- Alvin Abram is on the executive of the Leonard Mayzel Ontario Lodge. He is the son of Herman Joseph Abramovitz (1905–1954) and Annie Schwartz (1903–1994). Herman Abramovitz born in Ataki, Bessaravia (Russian empire) immigrated to Canada in 1927 at the age of twenty-two. He married Annie Schwartz in Hamilton, Ontario, on 23 December 1928. Together, they had three children, Murray (b. 1929), Alvin (b. 1936), and Morton (b. 1938). Herman, although trained as a barber, was active in the union and worked as a journalist, lecturer, and editor of the Canadian Jewish Weekly, the only national Jewish weekly in Canada.

- Accession consists of material documenting Alvin Abram, the Jewish National Fund of Toronto (JNF Toronto), and the Leonard Mayzel Ontario Lodge (LMOL).
- LMOL records include certificates (1975-1977); issues of the Observer (1978-1979), Planet Observer (2016-2018), and the Bulletin (2017-2018); a VHS tape made on the occasion of the lodge's fiftieth anniversary (1998); a DVD made on the occasion of the lodge's sixtieth anniversary (2008); and a scrapbook commemorating the lodge's community volunteer services (1977-1978).
- JNF records include annual reports for the years 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2008; copies of the Roots newsletter for the years 2000-2008; and Negev Dinner tribute books for the years 2003, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015.
- Other records include a Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue Yakir Hakahal gala tribute dinner book honouring Sir Nicholas Winton (2010), a Temple Har Zion gala dinner book honouring Rabbi Michael S. Stroh (2005), a Wiesenthal Award book honouring Judy Feld Carr (2002), and a DVD-R with 34 photographs (jpg) taken at an Unto Every Person There is a Name event on 5 May 2016 that was attended by Andi Reti, Councillor James Pasternak, and Daniel G. Lovell.
