The writing on the certificate reads: A declaration of Israel and a testimony that the Rabbi Yehuda Pinchas HaCohen, Toronto, became an honourable member of Ezras Torah on the 30th anniversary of Hagaon Rabbi Israel HaLevi Rosenberg as president of Ezras Torah, New York City, 1946.

- Item is a mini Torah housed in a black box with gold Hebrew lettering with an image of a Torah and Star of David on the front. The inner lining of the box is marbled paper. The Torah is wrapped with red fabric. It was presented to Sydney Harris on the occasion of his confirmation at Holy Blossom Temple.

- The edges of the box are quite worn and fraying in some places.

- Accession consists of one videocassette documenting the dedication of Sefer Torah scrolls held by the Shidlover Shul on D'Arcy Street in Toronto. The scrolls were brought to the shul from 3181 Bathurst Street by Jake and Esther Miltz and Rose and Nathan Weisblatt. They were transported to D'Arcy and Spadina Avenue and marched into the shul from Spadina Avenue going east. The celebration was held at the Weisblatt's home. Footage was originally filmed by Dr. Aaron Weisblatt on super 8 mm.
